Overcoming Fear

God is for me, He is on my side and I do not fear (Psalm 118:6). I refuse to yield to fear, to let my heart be troubled, or to worry about anything (John 14:27). I do not have the spirit of fear.  I have the Spirit of love, of power, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). I am established in righteousness.  I am far from oppression. Fear and terror do not come near me and no weapon formed against me prospers (Isaiah 54:14-17). I am not frightened or intimidated by my opponents and adversaries.  That fearlessness is a clear sign to my enemies of their impending destruction (Philippians 1:28). I cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.  I bring every thought that I have into captivity to the obedience of God’s Word.  I refuse to yield to thoughts of fear, worry, and torment.  I think on things that are just, pure, lovely, and of a good report (2 Corinthians 10:5, Philippians 4:8). I fix my mind on God, I fix my mind on God’s Word, and God keeps me in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3).
